Attorney Joseph R. Sevcik
Attorney Joseph R. Sevcik has been practicing law for over 35 years. Attorney Sevcik has a general practice litigating for clients in a wide variety of legal concerns. He is experienced in probate, probate planning, family law, contracts, real estate, and many other areas.
Attorney Sevcik has been active in the Black Hawk County Bar Association holding every office including President. He is a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Project and has previously served as a member of the First Judicial District Nominating Commission. Attorney Sevcik currently serves on the Magistrate Nominating Commission. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor for UNI teaching Administrative Law. Attorney Sevcik previously served as Vice President and President of Legal Services Workers of Iowa.
Attorney Sevcik is married to his marathon running wife, Lisa. They are the parents of five sons and one daughter. He has coached 49 youth soccer teams and enjoys watching his family run numerous marathons. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cedar Valley Preschool and Child Care Center and the First Judicial District Department of Corrections. Attorney Sevcik is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and previously taught religious education for many years.
